Alcatraz IS haunted, no doubts about it. I’ve been there and it’s so eerie that you just feel terrified and want to run. I even went into the solitary confinement cells and felt I’d go mad if I stayed in there.

    • Alyssa,

Thank you for sharing. Alcatraz sounds like a delightful place, although I’m not sure I would want to handle solitary confinement. Which is ironic because I enjoy dark, damp solitude. It should sound perfect.

It is for anyone who enjoys dismal, dark places. I want to go back there someday and explore it again.

Capone spent most of his Alcatraz sentence in solitary confinement due to his diagnosis of syphilis. That’s where he went mad and is rumored to haunt the prison among others.
